Targeting national needs pertaining to pollution prevention and control in livestock and poultry farming, as well as manure resource utilization, the team focuses on areas involving waste resource management in agriculture. Their research involves analyzing patterns and features of livestock breeding pollution evolution, as well as developing key technologies for coordinated reduction and control of pollution through manure minimization and resource utilization. The team has consecutively taken on over 50 competitive projects/sub-projects, including those from the National Key Research and Development Program, Special Scientific Research Subjects of Public Welfare Industry (Agriculture), projects from National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation since its inception. Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, the team has published 220 academic papers (with 154 being SCI-indexed articles), including over 50 papers in JCR Zone 1 journals. Nine monographs have been published; 95 patents have been granted, among which 27 are inventions; 21 standards have been formulated and promulgated, with one being a national standard. The team has garnered five ministerial/provincial level awards, including First and Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Tianjin Municipality.
