AEPI Held a Sino-Finland Academic Seminar and Inaugurated the Intelligence-introducing Demonstration Base

 

On 14th June 2016, Agro-Environmental Protection Institute(AEPI) held a "Sino-Finland Academic Seminar on Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control of Animal Husbandry in Erhai Basins" in Dali Comprehensive Experimental Station.Veli-Pekka Talvela (head of Finland's Ministry of Agriculture and Forests), RenTianzhi (head of AEPI), and other leaders attended the seminar and made speeches. During the seminar, both sides inaugurated  the Intelligence-introducing Demonstration Base for Overseas Achievements, which is dedicated to making contributions to "monitoring and controlling technology on agricultural source pollutions" of AEPI.

 

Experts from both sides made two reports titled as "Technology and Policy on Finland's Environmental-friendly Animal Husbandry" and "Reconstruction Scheme on Dali's Dairy Farm Project". They carried out discussions revolving around the protection of agricultural ecological environment, healthy breeding, pollutant monitoring and so on, explored the details in the cooperation and their interests, and put forward assumptions and expectations for further cooperation.

 

Since 2012, both sides has visited each other many times, signed Sino-Finland cooperation agreement on science and technology and established “LUKE-AEPI Joint Laboratory for Agricultural Environmental Technology”. They hope that with the Intelligence-introducing Demonstration Base set as a platform, they can continue deepening their bilateral pragmatic cooperation, support scientific research personnel on both sides in exchanging visits, and make efforts to achieve greater breakthroughs in prevention and control of agricultural source pollutions, especially in the cooperation onresearch of demonstrative breeding fields.

 

19 people from Finland's Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Natural Resources Institute Finland,Pellon Group Ltd, Human Resources Development Center of China's Ministry of Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and AEPI attended the meeting.
